Linings:
100%
cotton crease resistant sateen lining available in

Coloured linings: a wide range of
coloured cotton sateen linings is available. Please ask for
samples.
Blackout lining completely blocks
out all light (and it is not black!). It also provides excellent
heat and sound insulation. We use a 3-pass blackout, the most dense
and superior quality. It is very soft and does not have that stiff
plastic feel, so your curtains will hang normally.
It is washable and available in ivory and white.
Interlining bulks the curtains to
provide a thicker and more insulating curtain, ideal for draughty
windows and delicate fabrics. It is very effective for retaining
heat and protecting against noise. Interlining is strongly
recommended for silks to protect it. It is a separate lining which
is sandwiched between the face fabric and lining and is hand sewn
into place. We use either heavy cotton bump (370gsm), which gives a
very thick look, ideal for silks and thinner fabrics or Evastay, a
fully stabilised, 100% cotton dommette (260gsm) for heavier
fabrics.
All
lined curtains come with weights in all seams and corners.
